On what working basis do you model?: At the moment, casual
How long have you been modeling?: Basically just started
what experiences do you have in modeling?: Fashion Print
I enjoy modeling because you get to meet and network with so many people each bringing a different unique quality that influences and motivates me. I also enjoy it because its something that I want to do well in and feel there is big potential in myself given the opportunity.
I pretty much kind of fell into modeling. I was at a car show and wanted to get some photos of my car taken but the photographer asked if I would be interested in doing some modelling work for a project he was going to do, I was like for sure as I have always wanted to do modelling. But I had been interested in it for a while and was secretly something I wanted to get into or even TV work. I have this love for the entertainment industry.
Highlight so far?: Definitely being asked to do a shoot with Pedro Virgil his work is incredible and for an beginner like myself to be asked by such a known professional I was stoked.
Lowlight so far?: At the moment its been good just starting out and all but, I suppose, trying to actually get recognised. I was pretty much turned down by all of Sydney’s Agencies I kind of felt like I didn’t belong in the industry although I didn’t let them bring me down the way I seen it it was their loss and somebodies gain, then IKON came along and signed me as they seen the potential in me. Also the knowing that its a gradual process to actually become something great but I am a patient person so thats ok.
Biggest challenge for a models?: Physical exhaustion, as being a model isn’t easy work as some might think, it is tiring so the impact this may have on their bodies could be bad. Also keeping up to exceed expectations would put a lot of pressure on ones self so learning to cope with it and deal with rejection and criticism would be a challenge I reckon but personally I feel with my personality I could cope as I am an extremely laid back lad and nothing really gets to me I just have this way of dealing with stress and turning everything into a positive.
How do you keep fit?: Running, Diet and Resistance training. With my Diet I like to refer to my motto of HPLC BABY! high protein low carb, I have a set diet I follow which doesn’t exceed 1800calories unless its a carb spike day to shock my body. It consists of a lot of tuna, chicken my carbs are from fruit and protein shakes. I try run half an hour everyday and weight train 5-6 days a week. It’s pretty intense but I love it so I can get through it and am a very discipline person. I am on a continuous quest for aesthetics!
What do you like to do when you are not modeling?: Either spend time with my partner, spend quality time at the gym, go for a drive, hang with mates or put in some quality Call Of Duty time but it all depends on the day and what I feel like doing.
Any modeling aspirations?: Would love to do runway in Milan or work with CK they are big goals but anything is achievable if you put your mind to it and you have a passion for it. My main goal is just to do well in the industry I don’t want to put to much pressure on myself.
Do you see yourself continuing to model in the next 5-10 years?: I definitely want to continue modelling as I have a passion for it but I also have other plans for myself. I want to join the Police force but this is not going to stop me from modelling or being part of the entertainment industry. I love it and if it actually turns into a career I will be stoked !!!
Do you any words of advice for new upcoming, aspiring models?: Don’t give up and never let somebody tell you that you cant do something if you want to do it then do it. Never feel that your not good enough because an agency rejected you the way I see it is they just missed out on something that could potentially be the next big thing I know this because I went through it. Believe in yourself most of all. Define Your Future By Creating It!!!!!
